Weekend Events for the Whole Family in Berlin, March 23 - 25

Easter is coming...

Easter is next week (Good Friday on March 30th; Easter Sunday/Monday on April 1st and 2nd), and in case you're a bit out of it, a few tips:
  • School is on a holiday from March 26th and if you don't have a Hort, no time is better than yesterday, to think how to deal with this surprise... If you're with a Kita, check - many Kitas only take time off during the holiday itself and not before/after that.
  • In Germany, shops will be closed on Good Friday, and Easter Sunday/Monday. I will publish the many events for Easter next week, but just a friendly reminder to remember to go to the shops on Thursday, March 29th... (shops are open on March 31st and are going to look like a battlefield).
  • Celebrating Passover? Good for you! There are a few places (namely Chabad) where you can celebrate publicly if you don't have the energy to do it yourself, but I would recommend to find a few friends and do it yourself... I am willing to play the matchmaker if you're looking for a placement.

And as usual, there are Easter events even before Easter weekend

  • The Easter Fair in Alexanderplatz starts at the weekend and continues until April 8th, with a few small rides, stalls and a bit of musical entertainment

  • The Späth'schen Nurseries will celebrate the opening of the season with a small fair, and with an option to dye eggs the way the Sorbs do it (which is beautiful).

  • The FEZ will also start the Easter festivities at the weekend, with "Easter Alarm in Bunnyville" (my translation, shoot me!) . It includes bunnies, shows, Easter Eggs, and a lot of hilarity.
  • Easter craft activities from natural materials, in Ökowerk in the Grunewald forest, Sunday 12:00
