Weekend Events for the Whole Family in Berlin, Oct 21st - 23rd 2016

Halloween

Halloween is only next week, but there are already numerous activities at the weekend. If this is your first year in Berlin, don't expect anything that resembles North America or the UK. There is a little T&Teeing (to which many people are just baffled, since the holiday does not really register with Germans who don't have kids the right age). There are some parties for clubbers and some public events for kids.

The FEZ organises Halloween events the whole week, including a haunted house and plenty of activities for children of all ages
FEZ, on Straße zum FEZ 2, 12459 Berlin
Public Transport: take the S3 to Wuhlheide or trams 27, 63 or 67 to Freizeit- und Erholungszentrum. Admission fees apply (EUR 3/head or EUR 10/family)

Another party will take place in Karl's Strawberry Village (Erdbeerdorf) in Elstal. It will include all kinds of seasonal activities (e.g. pumpkin carving) but also a scary evening on October 22nd, with shows, navigation through a corn-maze and much more!

Jewish/Israeli Events: Sukkoth and ID Festival for Israeli/Deutsch Culture

The Jewish feast of Sukkoth is upon us and on Sunday, Hashomer Hatzair will celebrate (for kids aged 7 and older). Details: dikla@hashomer.de

For adults, there is another important event at the weekend.

Berlin has a vivid cultural scene, including quite a few Israelis involved in different artistic projects. The ID Festival offers a small selection of Israeli-German art, including music of all types (from Baroque through Yemenite all the way to Jazz and Tango), fine arts, installations, discussions and more.
