Weekend Events for the Whole Family in Berlin, February 23 - 25th





Events at the weekend... 



  • Museums and Casltes
    • Every Saturday: workshops for children (from 2:30 onwards) at the Museum of Technology
    • A guided tour in the Charlottenburg Castle for the whole family, Sunday 3 pm 

  • Music: 
    • Every Saturday , 12:00, the "Mighty Wurlitzer" in the Musical Instruments Museum
    • Peer Gynt for children, at the Philharmonie on Saturday, 3:30 
    • Musical workshop for children at Music Home (Prenzlauer Berg), on Saturday


  • Food and Markets: 
    • The gourmet food festival  Eat! Berlin  will open this weekend. Most of the events are quite expensive, as one can expect from gourmet restaurants, a few are more affordable, for example a cheese festival in the Arminius Markthalle in Moabit, on Saturday and Sunday. 


    • Flea Market, with good music, food from Africa and the African Diaspora and much more, in YAAM on Sunday 





Jewish Traditions: Purim

Time to get the costumes, the rattles and the sweets out. Well, business as usual in Berlin, but still, Purim Eve is on February 28th . All synagogues will offer a party, for example: 



  • On this Sunday, there will be a Purim Party at the JCC on Fasanenstr. 78, from 1 pm 



  • The Bubales will appear in the Fraenfelufer Synagogue with the Haggadah on Wednesday, 5 pm 



  • Sukkath Schalom (Reform, Charlottenburg, Herbartstr. 26, 14057 Berlin, near S Messe Nord): Purim Party for children, with Hamantaschen, Costumes and much more. 
  • The Oranienburger Str Synagogue (Oranienburger Str. 28) , Wed at 7pm and Thu at 10am
